Hi, I’m back!!! I know I promised that I will update you, guys, about Athens but alas, life happened and my ass got extremely busy with work. I’m being a responsible adult, you know? This bitch has bills to pay.
Soooo Athens. I’ll be honest, I can’t remember what we did in Athens (see, bad traveller!) We went to Acropolis of Athens and a really cool bar and that’s about it…. that’s what I remember. Please never allow me to be a travel blogger.
Anywaaaay. Acropolis. It is a citadel located above the city of Athens. It’s a World Heritage Site and very ancient and fucking breathtaking. It felt surreal being there, you know? It’s like WOW A LOT OF THINGS WENT DOWN HERE. I was reading about it and I found out that the first fortification wall was built in the thirteenth century BC. BC??? GUYS, BC???? I sound so dumb right now, I know. Of course, I knew that it has been around for a very long time but knowing and realizing are two different things, guys!!! It’s like once you’re there, you get to appreciate that fact. Also, wtf it felt like everything I read about Greek mythology just came to life.
You need to pay €20 to get inside. It’s a long walk to the top so wear a comfortable pair of shoes. Once you’re on top, you’ll get a great view of the city of Athens and of course, you’ll see the temples. Faaaancy!
We went around the city after and found this artist selling his art.
Do you know Greeks love cheese? Every menu has cheese. I think I ate feta there everyday. Also, they have this very cool bar called Six d.o.g.s. Ya’ll should go there when you visit Athens. Great atmosphere, great cocktails.
I don’t think I can remember anymore what we did. Oh wait yeah, we went shopping on our last day and I need to have friends who won’t enable my shopping tendencies.
To sum up, Greece is beautiful and you lot should add it on your bucket list!
